In a recent interview with The New York Times, the current queen of hip hop, Nicki Minaj took the opportunity to finally spoke out about recent beef, which has touched her both personally and professionally. The beef between label mate Drake and her current beau Meek Mill, as well as, the been between her Young Money label CEO Lil Wayne and its parent company Cash Money’s Birdman, which has been drawn out over the past few months and year, respectively, has seem to have an impact on her.
In the interview with The New New York Times Minaj shared:
‘They’re men, grown-ass men,’’ ‘‘It’s between them.’’ “I hate it.’’ ‘‘It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.’’
During the interview, Nicki also went on to share her perspective on the current situation of hip hop, especially, the changing perception of beauty in hip hop.
