Lil Dicky – Hip Hop’s Lyrical Comedian


David Burd, better known by his stage name Lil Dicky, has been lighting up the hip hop world with both his lyrical ability and comical themed approach to hip hop.  Lil Dicky started rapping to “simply to get attention comedically, so I could write movies, write TV shows and act.”, but he caught the bug, and fell in love with all that hip hop has to offer in addition to realizing he was good at it.



In 2013, his music video for his song “Ex-Boyfriend” went viral almost instantly, accumulating almost 1 million views in 24 hours.  This feat encouraged Dicky to release 32 songs and 15 music videos using his own money.  Burd released his debut album Professional Rapper on July 31, 2015, and features artists Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Rich Homie Quan, Fetty Wap, Brendon Urie (Panic! at the Disco), RetroJace and Hannibal Buress.



Since the release of his album Lil Dicky has been everywhere.  The content wise rapper has been stunning the rap community because he is both white and very good.  A performance on siriusxm’s Sway in the Morning radio show not only displayed the level of Dicky’s lyrical prowess, it also allowed him to express his knowledge of the game.



Dicky has just a released a new video for his track “$ave that Money“- featuring Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan, that has Lil Dicky going around a rich neighborhood trying to make a music video without spending any money.  Not only is it original it is funny.
